     P/O William Henry Thomson Andrews was born on 9 October 1909 at Helensburgh, Dunbartonshire, Scotland.2 He was the son of George Johnston Andrews and Helen Graham Thomson.1 He married Sybil Grace Webb in June 1941.1 He died on 10 March 1942 at age 32, missing in action while on a mission over Essen, Germany.1,3
     P/O William Henry Thomson Andrews usually went by his middle name of Harry.3 He fought in the Second World War.3 He gained the rank of Pilot Officer in the Royal Air Volunteer Reserve, flying a Handley Page HP.52 Hampden.4
