     He held the office of Naval Aide-de-Camp to HM Queen Victoria.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Ayrshire.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Ayrshire.¹

     Rodger Montgomerie was born on 22 October 1828.¹ He was the son of William Eglinton Montgomerie and Susanna Fraser Anderson.² He died on 25 October 1880 at age 52, unmarried.¹
     He was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates.² He was Deputy Clerk of the Register.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Ayrshire.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Ayrshire.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for North Ayrshire between 1874 and 1880.¹

     Colonel Thomas George Montgomerie was born on 23 April 1830.¹ He was the son of William Eglinton Montgomerie and Susanna Fraser Anderson.² He married Jane Farrington, daughter of Maj.-Gen. John James Farrington, on 11 February 1865.¹ He died on 31 January 1878 at age 47.²
     He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Engineers.²

     Maj.-Gen. John James Farrington gained the rank of Major-General in the Bengal Artillery.¹

     Jane Farrington was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. John James Farrington.² She married Colonel Thomas George Montgomerie, son of William Eglinton Montgomerie and Susanna Fraser Anderson, on 11 February 1865.¹ She died on 20 July 1916.¹
     From 11 February 1865, her married name became Montgomerie.

     Major Hastings Seton Montgomerie was born on 6 January 1872.¹ He was the son of Colonel Thomas George Montgomerie and Jane Farrington.² He died in November 1949 at age 77, unmarried.¹
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹ He gained the rank of Major in the 9th Battalion, Middlesex Regiment.¹

     Egidia Oswald Montgomerie was the daughter of Colonel Thomas George Montgomerie and Jane Farrington.² She died on 24 December 1952, unmarried.¹

     Beatrice Laura Montgomerie was the daughter of Colonel Thomas George Montgomerie and Jane Farrington.² She died on 2 September 1943, unmarried.¹

     Archibald William Montgomerie was born on 14 October 1838.¹ He was the son of William Eglinton Montgomerie and Susanna Fraser Anderson.² He died on 26 December 1877 at age 39, unmarried.¹

     Susannah Montgomerie was born on 18 August 1832.² She was the daughter of William Eglinton Montgomerie and Susanna Fraser Anderson.³ She married Sir John Tilley on 7 February 1861.² She died on 4 March 1880 at age 47.¹
     From 7 February 1861, her married name became Tilley.
