     Louisa Jane Henrietta Emily de Franquetot was the daughter of Augustin Louis Joseph Casimir Gustave de Franquetot, Duc de Coigny and Henrietta Dundas Dalrymple-Hamilton.¹ She married John Hamilton Dalrymple, 10th Earl of Stair, son of North Hamilton Dalrymple, 9th Earl of Stair and Margaret Penny, on 9 December 1846.¹ She died on 30 June 1896.¹
     Her married name became Dalrymple. After her marriage, Louisa Jane Henrietta Emily de Franquetot was styled as Countess of Stair on 9 November 1864.

     Augustin Louis Joseph Casimir Gustave de Franquetot, Duc de Coigny married Henrietta Dundas Dalrymple-Hamilton, daughter of Sir Hew Dalrymple-Hamilton of Bargany, 4th Bt. and Hon. Jane Duncan, on 16 June 1822.³ He died on 2 May 1865 at Paris, France^G.³
     He gained the title of Duc de Coigny [France].¹

     Henrietta Dundas Dalrymple-Hamilton is the daughter of Sir Hew Dalrymple-Hamilton of Bargany, 4th Bt. and Hon. Jane Duncan.¹ She married Augustin Louis Joseph Casimir Gustave de Franquetot, Duc de Coigny on 16 June 1822.¹
     From 16 June 1822, her married name became de Franquetot.¹

     North Hamilton Dalrymple, 9th Earl of Stair was born in 1776.¹ He was the son of Sir John Dalrymple-Hamilton-Makgill, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Hamilton-Makgill.² He married, firstly, Margaret Penny, daughter of James Penny, on 27 May 1817.³ He married, secondly, Martha Willett Dalrymple, daughter of Colonel George Dalrymple and Martha Willett Miller, on 23 March 1831.² He died on 9 November 1864.¹
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Dalrymple, of Cousland [N.S., 1698] on 10 January 1853.² He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Oxenfoord of Cousland, co. Midlothian [U.K., 1841] on 10 January 1853.² He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Dalrymple, of Stair [N.S., 1664] on 10 January 1853.² He succeeded as the 9th Earl of Stair [S., 1703] on 10 January 1853.² He succeeded as the 9th Viscount Dalrymple [S., 1703] on 10 January 1853.² He succeeded as the 9th Lord Newliston, Glenluce and Stranraer [S., 1703] on 10 January 1853.² He succeeded as the 10th Lord Glenluce and Stranraer [S., 1690] on 10 January 1853.² He succeeded as the 10th Viscount of Stair [S., 1690] on 10 January 1853.² He lived at Bhavnagar, India.²

     Margaret Penny was the daughter of James Penny.² She married North Hamilton Dalrymple, 9th Earl of Stair, son of Sir John Dalrymple-Hamilton-Makgill, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Hamilton-Makgill, on 27 May 1817.¹ She died on 22 April 1828.¹
     Her married name became Dalrymple.

     Martha Willett Dalrymple was the daughter of Colonel George Dalrymple and Martha Willett Miller.¹ She married North Hamilton Dalrymple, 9th Earl of Stair, son of Sir John Dalrymple-Hamilton-Makgill, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Hamilton-Makgill, on 23 March 1831.¹ She died on 5 June 1869.¹
     After her marriage, Martha Willett Dalrymple was styled as Countess of Stair on 10 January 1853.

     Colonel George Dalrymple was the son of Lt.-Col. Campbell Dalrymple and Margaret Douglas.¹ He married Martha Willett Miller, daughter of unknown Miller.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 19th Regiment of Foot.² He gained the rank of Colonel in the 19th Regiment.¹

     Hon. George Dalrymple was the son of John Dalrymple, 1st Earl of Stair and Elizabeth Dundas.^2,1 He married Eupheme Myrton, daughter of Sir Andrew Myrton, 1st Bt..³ He died on 29 July 1745.
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dalmahoy.⁴ He held the office of Baron of the Exchequer [Scotland] between 1703 and 1707.⁴ He lived at Dalmahoy, Scotland^G.

     Eupheme Myrton was the daughter of Sir Andrew Myrton, 1st Bt.¹ She married Hon. George Dalrymple, son of John Dalrymple, 1st Earl of Stair and Elizabeth Dundas.¹ She died on 8 July 1761.¹
     Her married name became Dalrymple.¹

     Sir Andrew Myrton, 1st Bt. married Jean Murray, daughter of Richard Murray of Priestfield and Melgund.¹
     He gained the title of Baronet Myrton, of Gogar, Edinburgh.
