Rear-Admiral Hon. Victor Alexander Montagu1
He was commissioned in 1853 with the rank of officer, in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Crimean War.1 He fought in the China War in 1857.1 He fought in the Indian Mutiny between 1857 and 1859.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He retired from the military in 1884, with the rank of Rear-Admiral, late of the Royal Navy.1

General Charles Cadogan, 2nd Baron Cadogan of Oakley1
He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1715 in the Coldstream Foot Guards.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Reading between 1716 and 1722.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) on 30 November 1718.3 He was Colonel of the 4th Foot between 1719 and 1734.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Newport, Isle of Wight between 1722 and 1726.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Cadogan of Oakley, co. Buckingham [G.B., 1718] on 17 July 1726.1 He was Colonel of the 6th Dragoons between 1734 and 1742.3 He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in 1735.3 He gained the rank of Major-General in 1739.3 He was Colonel of the 2nd Troop, Horse Guards between 1742 and 1776.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General in 1745.3 He held the office of Governor of Sheerness between 1749 and 1752.3 He held the office of Governor of Gravesend and Tilbury Fort between 1752 and 1776.3 He gained the rank of General in 1761.1
Atterbury describes him as “a bold, bad, boistrous, blustering, bloody, booby.”3

Sir Hans Sloane, 1st and last Bt.1
Sir Hans Sloane, 1st and last Bt. was born on 10 April 1660 at Killileagh, County Down, IrelandG.1 He was the son of Alexander Sloane and Sarah Hicks.1 He married Elizabeth Langley, daughter of John Langley and Elizabeth Middleton, circa 9 May 1695.1 He died on 11 January 1753 at age 92, without surviving male issue.1
He gained the title of 1st Baronet Sloane. He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)3 He was Lord of the Manor of Chelsea, Middlesex.4 He held the office of President of the College of Physicians, London.4
