     Reverend George Vernon Housman was born on 15 October 1820 at St. Peter’s, Guernsey, Channel Islands^G.¹ He was the son of William Housman and Mary Vernon.¹ He married, firstly, Eliza Izza Maria Reeves, daughter of Charles Reeves and Elizabeth (?), in 1843 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England^G.¹ He married, secondly, Louisa Aylmer Bowen, daughter of Hon. Edward Bowen and Eliza Davidson, on 22 September 1869 at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, Quebec City, Quebec, Canada^G.¹ He died on 28 August 1887 at age 66 at Quebec City, Quebec, Canada^G, from a disease of the brain.¹ He was buried at Mount Hermon Cemtery, Sillery, Quebec City, Quebec, Canada^G.¹

     Eliza Izza Maria Reeves was born on 6 November 1823 at Holborn, London, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Reeves and Elizabeth (?)¹ She married Reverend George Vernon Housman, son of William Housman and Mary Vernon, in 1843 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England^G.¹ She died on 7 March 1865 at age 41 at Quebec City, Quebec, Canada^G.¹
