John Erichsen Blair Cochrane and Mary Cochrane.² He married, firstly, Sally Hounsell, daughter of Henry Edmund Hounsell, on 24 September 1955.¹ He and Sally Hounsell were divorced in 1972.¹ He married, secondly, Daphne Maureen Joyce Baxter, daughter of Elliot Esmond Baxter, on 16 May 1974.¹ He died on 16 August 2014 at age 90 at Constantia, Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.³
     He was educated at Sevenoaks School, Sevenoaks, Kent, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.¹ He lived in 2003 at 8 Resthaven Drive, Tokai, Cape Province, South Africa^G.¹

     Henry Edmund Hounsell lived at Livingston, Zambia.¹

     Sally Hounsell is the daughter of Henry Edmund Hounsell.² She married Basil Thomas Dundonald Cochrane, son of W/Cdr. John Erichsen Blair Cochrane and Mary Cochrane, on 24 September 1955.¹ She and Basil Thomas Dundonald Cochrane were divorced in 1972.¹

     Douglas Thomas Archibald Nelthorpe Cochrane was born on 24 February 1900 at Stutterheim, Eastern Cape, South Africa.^1,2 He was the son of Major John Palmer Cochrane and Frances Gilbert.³ He married, firstly, Ivy Maasdorp, daughter of G. H. Maasdorp, on 14 July 1926.¹ He married, secondly, Christina Marie Hammond, daughter of Colley Hammond and Elizabeth Johanna Catherina Cloete, on 4 May 1935.³ He died on 9 June 1988 at age 88.^3,2
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force.¹

     G. H. Maasdorp lived at Queenstown, Cape Province, South Africa^G.¹

     Ivy Maasdorp was born on 19 May 1904 at Queenstown, Cape Province, South Africa.² She was the daughter of G. H. Maasdorp.³ She married Douglas Thomas Archibald Nelthorpe Cochrane, son of Major John Palmer Cochrane and Frances Gilbert, on 14 July 1926.¹ She died on 8 November 1928 at age 24 at Harare, Zimbabwe.^1,2
     From 14 July 1926, her married name became Cochrane.

     Edward Denzil Dundonald Cochrane was born on 28 April 1927 at Harare, Zimbabwe.^1,2 He was the son of Douglas Thomas Archibald Nelthorpe Cochrane and Ivy Maasdorp.³ He married Janet Ainslie Allan, daughter of Robert Allan, on 2 May 1953.¹ He died on 20 March 2014 at age 86 at Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.²
     He graduated with a Master of Science (M.Sc.)¹ He was registered as a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.)¹ He lived in 2003 at 11 Linda Road, Claremont, Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa^G.¹

     Robert Allan was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal (D.C.M.)¹ He lived at Harare, Zimbabwe.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹
