Angus Kennedy, 6th Marquess of Ailsa was born on 28 October 1882.1 He was the son of Archibald Kennedy, 3rd Marquess of Ailsa and Hon. Evelyn Stuart.1 He married Gertrude Millicent Cooper, daughter of Gervas Weir Cooper, on 28 January 1922.1 He died on 31 May 1957 at age 74.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.3 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Air Force.3 He succeeded as the 6th Baron Ailsa, of Ailsa, co. Ayr [U.K., 1806] on 1 June 1956. He succeeded as the 19th Lord Kennedy [S., 1458] on 1 June 1956. He succeeded as the 6th Marquess of Ailsa, of the Isle of Ailsa, co.
