     Margaret Henriette Stewart Browne is the daughter of John Stewart Browne and Louisa Waite.¹ She married Reverend Thomas Blackburn, son of Samuel Blackburn and Elizabeth Hannah Williams, circa 1885.¹
     Her married name became Blackburn.¹

     Reverend Thomas Blackburn was born on 16 March 1844.² He was the son of Samuel Blackburn and Elizabeth Hannah Williams.² He married, firstly, Jessie Ann Wood.¹ He married, secondly, Margaret Henriette Stewart Browne, daughter of John Stewart Browne and Louisa Waite, circa 1885.¹

     Brigadier Arthur Seaforth Blackburn, V.C. was born on 25 November 1892 at Woodville, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia^G.² He was the son of Reverend Thomas Blackburn and Margaret Henriette Stewart Browne.¹ He died on 24 November 1960 at age 67.²
     He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the 10th Battalion (South Australian), Australian Imperial Forces.² He fought in the First World War.² He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.), 23 July 1916.² He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1942, when he was captured in Java and became a POW.² He gained the rank of Brigadier in February 1942 in the ‘Black Force’, Java.² He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1946.²

     Charles Percy Stewart Browne was the son of John Stewart Browne and Louisa Waite.¹ He died, young.¹

     Arthur Stewart Browne is the son of John Stewart Browne and Louisa Waite.¹

     William Browne was the son of John Stewart Browne and Louisa Waite.¹ He died, drowned, aged 22.¹

     Caroline Gertrude Browne was the daughter of John Stewart Browne and Louisa Waite.¹ She died, young.¹

     Granville William Chetwynd-Stapylton was born in 1800.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Granville Anson Chetwynd-Stapylton and Martha Stapylton.¹ He married Catherine Bulteel in 1825.^1,2 He died on 31 May 1840 at Moreton Bay, Queensland, Australia^G, killed by Aborigines.¹
     He was Assistant Surveyor in November 1828 at New South Wales, Australia^G.¹

     Catherine Bulteel married Granville William Chetwynd-Stapylton, son of Maj.-Gen. Granville Anson Chetwynd-Stapylton and Martha Stapylton, in 1825.^1,2
     She lived at Fleet, Hampshire, England.^1,2 From 1825, her married name became Chetwynd-Stapylton.¹

     Mary Provis was the daughter of Thomas Provis.¹ She married Captain Francis Reynolds-Moreton, 3rd Baron Ducie of Tortworth, son of Francis Reynolds and Hon. Elizabeth Moreton, on 10 October 1774.¹ She died in May 1789.¹
     From 10 October 1774, her married name became Reynolds-Moreton.¹ After her marriage, Mary Provis was styled as Baroness Ducie of Tortworth on 11 September 1785.
