He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)1 He was created 1st Baronet Hamilton, of Monella, co. Armagh on 6 April 1662.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Armagh.1,2 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
