     Sir Hans Hamilton, 1st and last Bt. was the son of John Hamilton and Sarah Brabazon.1 He married Magdalen Trevor, daughter of Sir Edward Trevor.2 He died on 15 February 1681.1
     He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)1 He was created 1st Baronet Hamilton, of Monella, co. Armagh on 6 April 1662.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Armagh.1,2 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
