Dr. Alan Charles Nelson Borg1,2

Dr. Alan Charles Nelson Borg was born in 1942.3 He married Caroline Sylvia Hill, daughter of Lord Arthur Francis Henry Hill and Ishabel Wilhelmina Sheila MacDougall, on 23 July 1976.1
He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, England. He graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.) He graduated from Courtauld Institute of Art, The Strand, London, EnglandG, with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) He was appointed Fellow, Royal Historical Society (F.R.Hist.S.) He was director of the Victoria and Albert Museum between 1995 and 2001.1 He was awarded the Order pro Merito Melitensi. He was appointed Knight of Justice, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.J.St.J.) He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)1 He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.)
