Michael Ingoldsby Massy was born on 8 January 1920.¹ He was the son of Major William Ingoldsby Justice Massy and Adam Mary Frances Simpson.¹ He married Penelope Louise Sassoon, daughter of Captain Sassoon Joseph Sassoon and Dulcie Franklin, on 18 May 1944.¹ He died on 4 August 1944 at age 24, killed on flying operations.¹
     He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant/Navigator in the 635 Squadron, Royal Air Force and Pathfinder Force.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     Penelope Louise Sassoon was born on 30 March 1920.² She is the daughter of Captain Sassoon Joseph Sassoon and Dulcie Franklin.^1,2 She married, firstly, F/Lt. Michael Ingoldsby Massy, son of Major William Ingoldsby Justice Massy and Adam Mary Frances Simpson, on 18 May 1944.¹ She married, secondly, Serge Horace de Genzburg, son of Baron Vladimir de Genzburg, on 8 September 1948.¹
     From 18 May 1944, her married name became Massy.¹ From 8 September 1948, her married name became de Genzburg.¹

     Captain Sassoon Joseph Sassoon was born on 6 September 1885.² He was the son of Joseph Sassoon. He married Dulcie Franklin, daughter of Frederic Samuel Franklin and Lucy Amy Magnus, on 12 March 1919.² He died on 17 February 1922 at age 36.²
     He lived at Ashley Park, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, England^G.¹
