     He was General Manager of Far-East Cable and Wireless Ltd between 1952 and 1956.¹ He was appointed Knight of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.G.St.J.) in 1955.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1956.¹

     Edith Farquarharson Crowe married Frederick Stanley Coote, son of Cecil Henry Coote and Blanche Mabel Oldham, in 1920.¹ She died in 1985.¹
     From 1920, her married name became Coote.

     Captain John Oldham Coote was born on 13 August 1921.^1,2 He was the son of Frederick Stanley Coote and Edith Farquarharson Crowe.³ He married Sylvia Syson, daughter of Rear-Admiral John Luxmoore Syson, on 18 September 1944.¹ He died on 11 June 1993 at age 71.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹
