     Major Basil Hugh Philips Heaton is the son of Commander Hugh Edward Heaton and Margaret Gwenllian Philips.^2,3 He married, firstly, Bronwyn Margaret Knox Poole, daughter of Bryan Cudworth Halsted Poole and Eleanor Margaret Lawson Knox, on 30 June 1955.¹ He married, secondly, Jennifer Frances Ann Williams, daughter of Sir Francis John Watkin Williams, 8th Bt. and Brenda Beryl Jarvis, in 1979.²
     He lived at Rhûal, Mold, Clwyd, Wales.² He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)¹

     Sara Margaret Heaton was born on 28 April 1956.¹ She is the daughter of Major Basil Hugh Philips Heaton and Bronwyn Margaret Knox Poole.²

     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Rifle Brigade.¹

     Judith Mimi Poole was the daughter of Bryan Davies Poole and Georgiana Mary Fenwick.² She married, firstly, Captain Alfred Spencer Mason Summers, son of James Woolley Summers and Edith Mason, on 19 July 1914.¹ She married, secondly, Major Sir Bache McEvers Athole Hay, 11th Bt., son of Athole Stanhope Hay and Caroline Margaret Cunard, on 21 August 1918.¹ She died on 9 January 1978.¹
     From 19 July 1914, her married name became Summers. From 21 August 1918, her married name became Hay.¹

     Captain Alfred Spencer Mason Summers was born on 6 April 1886.² He was the son of James Woolley Summers and Edith Mason.² He married Judith Mimi Poole, daughter of Bryan Davies Poole and Georgiana Mary Fenwick, on 19 July 1914.¹ He died on 7 September 1916 at age 30, killed in action.^1,2
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 19th Hussars.¹ He lived at Emral Hall, Worthenbury, Flintshire, Wales.²
