     Nevill Henry Kendal Aylmer Coghill was born on 19 April 1899.¹ He was the son of Sir Egerton Bushe Coghill, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Hildegarde Augusta Somerville.² He married Elspeth Nora Harley, daughter of Richard James Harley, on 24 March 1927.¹ He and Elspeth Nora Harley were divorced in 1933.¹ He died on 6 November 1980 at age 81.¹
     He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Field Artillery.¹ He fought in the First World War between 1917 and 1919.¹ He graduated from Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1922 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1925 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was a Fellow between 1925 and 1967 at Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He was Merton Professor of English Literature between 1957 and 1966 at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He edited various Chaucer editions and co-adapted The Canterbury Tales for the stage.¹

     Richard James Harley lived at Ochterlony, Guthrie, Angus, Scotland^G.¹

     Elspeth Nora Harley is the daughter of Richard James Harley.² She married Nevill Henry Kendal Aylmer Coghill, son of Sir Egerton Bushe Coghill, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Hildegarde Augusta Somerville, on 24 March 1927.¹ She and Nevill Henry Kendal Aylmer Coghill were divorced in 1933.¹
     From 24 March 1927, her married name became Coghill.

     Rosemary Caroline Coghill was born on 25 July 1928.¹ She is the daughter of Nevill Henry Kendal Aylmer Coghill and Elspeth Nora Harley.²

     Sir Joscelyn Ambrose Cramer Coghill, 7th Bt. was born on 30 September 1902.¹ He was the son of Sir Egerton Bushe Coghill, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Hildegarde Augusta Somerville.² He married, firstly, Elizabeth Gwendoline Atkins, daughter of John Black Atkins, on 7 August 1926.¹ He and Elizabeth Gwendoline Atkins were divorced in 1949.¹ He married, secondly, Louise Fernande Berdonneau, daughter of Colonel Gaston Berdonneau, on 4 July 1949.¹ He died on 6 June 1983 at age 80.¹
     He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the South Wales Borderers.¹ He was with the East African Civil Service.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.¹ He was an Admin Officer for the United Nations between 1945 and 1946 at London, England^G.¹ He adopted Isabelle Edith Coghill.¹ He was Chief Secretary of the Allied Secretariat, Control Commission Germany between 1947 and 1950 at Berlin, Germany^G.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Coghill, of Coghill, co. York [G.B., 1778] on 5 January 1981.¹

     Katherine Adelaide Hildegarde Coghill was born on 5 May 1906.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Egerton Bushe Coghill, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Hildegarde Augusta Somerville.² She married Major Terence Greer Johnston, son of Frederick William Johnston, on 19 January 1944.¹
     She was in the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force during the Second World War.¹ From 19 January 1944, her married name became Johnston.

     Frederick William Johnston lived at Raheen House, Spa, Ballynahinch, County Tipperary, Ireland^G.¹

     Major Terence Greer Johnston was the son of Frederick William Johnston.² He married Katherine Adelaide Hildegarde Coghill, daughter of Sir Egerton Bushe Coghill, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Hildegarde Augusta Somerville, on 19 January 1944.¹ He died on 18 October 1972.¹

     Christine Anne Griffiths is the daughter of Oswald Hardy Griffiths.¹ She married Sir Christopher Collett, son of Sir Henry Seymour Collett, 2nd Bt. and Ruth Mildred Hatch, in 1959.¹
     From 1959, her married name became Collett.¹

     John Black Atkins lived at 3 Burford Lodge, Elstead, Surrey, England^G.¹
