     Sir James Cockburn of that Ilk, 5th Bt. was born in 1723.¹ He is the son of John Cockburn and Martha Rich.² He married Laetitia Little, daughter of Luke Little.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 35th Regiment.¹ He gained the rank of Brigadier-General and Quarter Master-General for North America.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Cockburn [N.S., 1671] on 9 January 1800.¹

     Luke Little lived at County Carlow, Ireland^G.¹

     Thomas Davis married Eliza Anne Creutzer, daughter of Colonel Henry Frederick Creutzer, before 1791.¹ He died before 1791.¹
     He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹

     Katherine Cockburn is the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir William Cockburn of that Ilk, 6th Bt. and Eliza Anne Creutzer.¹ She married Edward Cludde on 6 May 1828.¹
     From 6 May 1828, her married name became Cludde.¹

     Laetitia Little was the daughter of Luke Little.¹ She married Sir James Cockburn of that Ilk, 5th Bt., son of John Cockburn and Martha Rich.¹ She died on 11 November 1804.¹
     Her married name became Cockburn.¹

     Edward Cludde married Katherine Cockburn, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir William Cockburn of that Ilk, 6th Bt. and Eliza Anne Creutzer, on 6 May 1828.¹
     He lived at Orleton, Shropshire, England^G.¹

     Lucy Cockburn was the daughter of Sir James Cockburn of that Ilk, 5th Bt. and Laetitia Little.² She died, young.¹

     Mary Cockburn is the daughter of Sir James Cockburn of that Ilk, 5th Bt. and Laetitia Little.² She married Colonel John Cockburn.¹

     Colonel John Cockburn married Mary Cockburn, daughter of Sir James Cockburn of that Ilk, 5th Bt. and Laetitia Little.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Artillery.¹

     Margaret Cockburn is the daughter of Sir James Cockburn of that Ilk, 5th Bt. and Laetitia Little.² She married Major unknown Cole.¹
     Her married name became Cole.
