Sir William Cockburn of Langton, 2nd Bt.1 
He held the office of Principal Usher [Scotland], although this was subject to some dispute in Scottish Parliament.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Cockburn, of Langton, co. Berwicks [N.S., 1622] circa December 1628.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Berwickshire [Scotland] from 1640 to 1641.4
