     Rowena Wall was the daughter of George Wall and Mary Anne Dixon.¹ She married Edward Hamilton Seymour, 16th Duke of Somerset, son of Reverend Francis Payne Seymour and Jane Margaret Dallas, on 28 July 1881.¹ She died on 13 November 1950.¹
     Her married name became Seymour. After her marriage, Rowena Wall was styled as Duchess of Somerset on 22 October 1923.

     George Wall was born on 22 December 1821. He was the son of George Wall. He married Mary Anne Dixon, daughter of Sir Charles Dixon and Mary Anne Fletcher. He died on 18 December 1894 at age 72.
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England. He lived at Colombo, Sri Lanka.¹

     Evelyn Francis Edward Seymour, 17th Duke of Somerset was born on 1 May 1882.¹ He was the son of Edward Hamilton Seymour, 16th Duke of Somerset and Rowena Wall.¹ He married Edith Mary Parker, daughter of William Parker and Lucinda Steeves, on 3 January 1906.¹ He died on 26 April 1954 at age 71.¹
     He was educated at Blundell’s School, Tiverton, Devon, England.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1901 and 1902.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.¹ He fought in the Lieutenant-Colonel, Royal Dublin Fusiliers.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Wiltshire.¹ He succeeded as the 17th Baron Seymour [E., 1547] on 5 May 1931.¹ He succeeded as the 17th Duke of Somerset [E., 1547] on 5 May 1931.¹ He succeeded as the 15th Baronet Seymour, of Berry Pomeroy [E., 1611] on 5 May 1931.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Devonshire Regiment.¹ He gained the rank of Second World War between 1939 and 1941.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire in 1942.¹

     Edith Mary Parker was the daughter of William Parker and Lucinda Steeves.^1,2 She married Evelyn Francis Edward Seymour, 17th Duke of Somerset, son of Edward Hamilton Seymour, 16th Duke of Somerset and Rowena Wall, on 3 January 1906.¹ She died on 19 April 1962.¹
     Her married name became Seymour. After her marriage, Edith Mary Parker was styled as Duchess of Somerset on 5 May 1931.

     William Parker was born in 1816 at Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.² He married Lucinda Steeves, daughter of William Henry Steeves and Mary Stief, on 7 December 1880 at Christ Church, Liverpool, Lancashire, England.² He died on 7 July 1893 at Whittington Hall, Derbyshire, England.²
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at Whittington Hall, Derbyshire, England^G.¹

     Francis William Seymour was born on 28 December 1906.¹ He was the son of Evelyn Francis Edward Seymour, 17th Duke of Somerset and Edith Mary Parker.¹ He died on 14 May 1907.¹

     Algernon Francis Edward Seymour was born on 22 July 1908.¹ He was the son of Evelyn Francis Edward Seymour, 17th Duke of Somerset and Edith Mary Parker.¹ He died on 14 February 1911 at age 2.¹

     Percy Hamilton Seymour, 18th Duke of Somerset was born on 27 September 1910.¹ He was the son of Evelyn Francis Edward Seymour, 17th Duke of Somerset and Edith Mary Parker.¹ He married Gwendoline Collette Jane Thomas, daughter of Major John Cyril Collette Thomas and Jessie Maud Scott-Brown, on 18 December 1951.¹ He died on 15 November 1984 at age 74.²
     He was educated at Blundell’s School, Tiverton, Devon, England.¹ He graduated from Clare College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1933 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Wiltshire Regiment.¹ He succeeded as the 18th Baron Seymour [E., 1547] on 26 April 1954.¹ He succeeded as the 18th Duke of Somerset [E., 1547] on 26 April 1954.¹ He succeeded as the 16th Baronet Seymour, of Berry Pomeroy [E., 1611] on 26 April 1954.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Wiltshire in 1960.¹

     Gwendoline Collette Jane Thomas was born on 4 October 1913.^2,3 She was the daughter of Major John Cyril Collette Thomas and Jessie Maud Scott-Brown.^1,4 She married Percy Hamilton Seymour, 18th Duke of Somerset, son of Evelyn Francis Edward Seymour, 17th Duke of Somerset and Edith Mary Parker, on 18 December 1951.¹ She died on 18 February 2005 at age 91.² She was buried at All Saints Churchyard, Maiden Bradley, Wiltshire, England.³
     Gwendoline Collette Jane Thomas usually went by her middle name of Jane.² Her married name became Seymour. After her marriage, Gwendoline Collette Jane Thomas was styled as Duchess of Somerset on 26 April 1954.

     Major John Cyril Collette Thomas was born on 4 December 1871 at Highgate, London, England.² He was the son of John Collette Thomas and Emma Josland.² He married Jessie Maud Scott-Brown, daughter of John Scott-Brown and Mary Ann Ousby, on 6 November 1909 at St. Mark’s Church, Mayfair, London, England.² He died on 7 May 1946 at age 74 at Burn Cottage, Bude, Cornwall, England.²
