     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 21st Lancers.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1901, with the Imperial Yeomanry.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918, with the 9th Lancers, where he was wounded and became a POW.1

Philadelphia Sybil Robertson was the daughter of James Patrick Bannerman Robertson, Baron Robertson and Philadelphia Mary Lucy Fraser.1 She married Captain Charles Lachlan Maclean, son of Sir Fitzroy Donald Maclean, 10th Bt. and Constance Marianne Ackers, on 15 June 1904.1 She died on 12 February 1945.1
     From 15 June 1904, her married name became Maclean.1

Captain Charles Lachlan Maclean1

     Captain Charles Lachlan Maclean was born on 20 September 1874.2 He was the son of Sir Fitzroy Donald Maclean, 10th Bt. and Constance Marianne Ackers.3 He married Hon. Philadelphia Sybil Robertson, daughter of James Patrick Bannerman Robertson, Baron Robertson and Philadelphia Mary Lucy Fraser, on 15 June 1904.1 He married, secondly, Christian Mary Taggart, daughter of Reverend M. Taggart, on 31 March 1952.2 He died on 27 August 1958 at age 83.2
     He fought in the Benin Expedition in 1897.2 He fought in the Boxer Rebellion between 1900 and 1901.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Perthshire.2
