Mabel Agnes Laurie is the daughter of Peter George Laurie.1 She married, firstly, George Norton Stevens before 1930.1 She married, secondly, William Plender, 1st and last Baron Plender, son of William Plender and Elizabeth Agnes Smallpiece Vardy, on 27 April 1932.1
She was appointed Dame of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (D.G.St.J.)1 From before 1932, her married name became Stevens.1 From 27 April 1932, her married name became Plender.1 After her marriage, Mabel Agnes Laurie was styled as Baroness Plender on 27 April 1932.

Sir Thomas Plumer1 
Sir Thomas Plumer was born on 10 December 1753.1 He was the son of Thomas Plumer and Anne Thompson.1 He married Marianne Turton, daughter of John Turton, on 26 August 1794 at Eccleshall, Staffordshire, England.1 He died on 25 March 1824 at age 70.1
He held the office of Master of the Rolls.1
