     Mark Arnold-Forster was born on 16 April 1920 at Cheriton Nursing Home, Westlecott Road, Swindon, Wiltshire, England.² He was the son of Lt.-Cdr. William Edward Arnold-Forster and Katherine Laird Cox.² He married Hon. Valentine Harriet Isobel Dione Mitchison, daughter of Gilbert Richard Mitchison, Baron Mitchison and Naomi May Margaret Haldane, on 12 January 1955.¹ He died in 1981.²
     He was educated in 1929 at Schule Schloss Salem, Salem, Germany.² He was educated between 1933 and 1937 at Gordonstoun School, Elgin, Morayshire, Scotland.² He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.)² He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)² He had three sons and two daughters.¹

     Vere Gosling was the daughter of Ellis Gosling.¹ She married George Edward Milnes Monckton-Arundell, 7th Viscount Galway, son of George Edward Arundell Monckton-Arundell, 6th Viscount Galway and Henrietta Maria Milnes, on 24 July 1879.¹ She died on 3 January 1921.¹
     She was appointed Lady of Justice, Order of St. John of Jerusalem (L.J.St.J.)¹ From 24 July 1879, her married name became Monckton-Arundell.¹ She succeeded as the Viscountess Galway on 24 July 1879.
