He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Cooper’s Hill Engineering College.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.1 He was awarded the Order of the Crown of Belgium.1 He held the office of Member of the London County Council between 1922 and 1946, Brixtin Division.1 He succeeded as the 6th Viscount Pierrepont of Holme Pierrepont, co. Nottingham [G.B., 1796] on 17 July 1926.1 He succeeded as the 6th Earl Manvers [U.K., 1806] on 17 July 1926.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baron Newark of Newark-on-Trent, co. Nottingham [G.B., 1796] on 17 July 1926.1 He held the office of Member of the Nottinghamshire County Council between 1940 and 1946.1 On his death, his titles became extinct.2
