     Giovanni del Balzo, 3rd Duca di Schiavi was born in 1654.1 He was the son of Vespasiano del Balzo, 1st Duca di Schiavi and Dianora Capece.1 He married Donna Maria Bonelli, daughter of Michele III Ferdinando Bonelli, 5th Duca di Salci e 3rd Duca di Montanara and Isabella Ruini, on 9 May 1697 at Rome, Italy.1 He died in 1722.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Duca di Schiavi in 1693.
