Sir Howard William Kennard was born on 23 March 1878.2 He was the son of Arthur Challis Kennard and Anne Homan-Mulock.2 He married Harriet Norris, daughter of Jonathan Norris, in 1908.2 He died on 12 November 1955 at age 77.1
He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1923.2 He held the office of Minister to Belgrade in 1925.2 He held the office of Minister to Berne between 1931 and 1934.1 He held the office of Ambassador to Poland between 1934 and 1941.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.) in 1938.2
