Christopher Wordsworth and Susanna Hatley Frere.1 He married, firstly, Susan Esther Coxe, daughter of Henry Octavius Coxe and Charlotte Esther Turner, in 1870.1 He married, secondly, Mary Ann Frances Williams, daughter of Sir Robert Williams, 1st Bt. and Rosa Walker Simes, on 2 January 1896.3 He died on 16 August 1911 at age 67.1
He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.)3 He had four sons and two daughters.1 He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)4 He held the office of Bishop of Lincoln.4 He held the office of Bishop of Salisbury in 1885.1
