Sir Robert Brudenell was born circa 1461.1 He was the son of Edmund Brudenell and Philippa Englefield.1 He married, firstly, Margaret Entwhistle, daughter of Thomas Entwhistle, before 1502.1 He married, secondly, Philippa Power before 1531.1 He died on 30 January 1531/32.1,3
He held the office of King’s Serjeant in 1505.1 He held the office of Judge of the King’s Bench in 1507.1 He held the office of Judge of the Court of Common Pleas in 1509.1 He held the office of Lord Chief Justice of the Court of Common Pleas in 1521.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.4
