John Kurtz Maxtone Graham was born on 2 August 1929 at Orange, New Jersey, U.S.A.1 He was the son of Laurence Patrick Maxtone Graham and Ellen Taylor.1 He married, secondly, Mary Bergeron.2 He married, firstly, Katrina Kanzler, daughter of Ernest Kanzler and Josephine Clay, on 4 June 1955.1 He died on 6 July 2015 at age 85.3
He was educated at Sedbergh School, Sedbergh, Cumbria, EnglandG.1 He was educated in 1951 at Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island, U.S.A.G, Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1952 in the U.S. Marine Corps.1 He wrote the book Liners to the Sun, published 1986.3 He wrote the book Cunard: 150 Glorious Years, published 1989.3 He wrote the book Normandie: France’s Legendary Art Deco Ocean Liner, published 2007.3
