     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the King’s Own Scottish Borderers.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He lived in 1952 at Skarfield, Lockerbie, Dumfries-shire, Scotland^G.¹

     Mary Fearne Balfour-Kinnear was the daughter of George Purvis-Russell Balfour-Kinnear.¹ She married Major Arthur James Jardine Paterson, son of Robert Jardine Paterson and Constance Margaret Steel, on 7 February 1948.¹ She died on 24 April 2015.²
     From 7 February 1948, her married name became Jardine Paterson.¹

     George Purvis-Russell Balfour-Kinnear lived at The Laws, Duns, Berwickshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Susan Margaret Jardine Paterson was born on 28 January 1949.¹ She was the daughter of Major Arthur James Jardine Paterson and Mary Fearne Balfour-Kinnear.¹ She died on 22 February 1949.¹

     Elizabeth Anne Jardine Paterson was born on 2 September 1951.¹ She is the daughter of Major Arthur James Jardine Paterson and Mary Fearne Balfour-Kinnear.¹

     Sir John Valentine Jardine Paterson was born on 14 February 1920.¹ He was the son of Robert Jardine Paterson and Constance Margaret Steel.¹ He married Priscilla Mignon Nicolson, daughter of Sir Kenneth Nicolson.² He died on 12 March 2000 at age 80.³
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War, with 6th Battalion, Black Watch.¹ He was educated at Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He lived in 1952 at Clive Row, Calcutta, India^G.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1967.⁴

     Corbet John Coventry was born on 4 June 1838.¹ He was the son of Thomas William Coventry and Anne Coventry.¹ He married Honora Maria Sutherland, daughter of J. W. Sutherland, on 21 April 1870.¹ He died on 29 January 1916 at age 77.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 7th Royal Fusiliers.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the East Kent Militia.¹

     Honora Maria Sutherland was the daughter of J. W. Sutherland.¹ She married Corbet John Coventry, son of Thomas William Coventry and Anne Coventry, on 21 April 1870.¹ She died on 1 May 1906.¹
     From 21 April 1870, her married name became Coventry.¹
