     Mary Augusta Lindsay was the daughter of Charles Robert Lindsay and Rhoda Charlotte Gwatkin.¹ She married Rt. Hon. Sir Richard Temple, 1st Bt., son of Richard Temple and Louisa Anne Rivett-Carnac, on 28 January 1871.¹ She died on 9 March 1924.¹
     She was awarded the Imperial Order of the Crown of India (C.I.)¹ From 28 January 1871, her married name became Temple.

     Rt. Hon. Sir Richard Temple, 1st Bt. was born on 8 March 1826.² He was the son of Richard Temple and Louisa Anne Rivett-Carnac.^3,2 He married, firstly, Charlotte Frances Martindale, daughter of Benjamin Martindale, on 27 December 1849.² He married, secondly, Mary Augusta Lindsay, daughter of Charles Robert Lindsay and Rhoda Charlotte Gwatkin, on 28 January 1871.¹ He died on 15 March 1902 at age 76.²
     He held the office of with the Bengal Civil Service in 1846.² He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.)² He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.) in 1867.² He was Foreign Secretary and Finance member of the Council of the Governor-General of India between 1868 and 1874.² He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Bengal between 1874 and 1876.² He was created 1st Baronet Temple, of The Nash, Kempsey, co. Worcester [U.K.] on 16 August 1876.² He was appointed Knight Grand Commander, Order of the Star of India (G.C.S.I.) in 1877.² He held the office of Governor of Bengal between 1877 and 1880.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Evesham between 1885 and 1892.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kingston, Surrey between 1892 and 1895.² He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Worcestershire.² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1896.² He lived at The Nash, Kempsey, Worcestershire, England.²

     Laura Anne Lindsay was the daughter of Charles Robert Lindsay and Rhoda Charlotte Gwatkin.¹ She married Charles Edward Buckland on 6 December 1873.¹ She died in 1918.¹
     Her married name became Buckland.

     He gained the rank of General in the Russian Army.¹

     Margaret Lindsay was the daughter of Colin Lindsay and Margaret Browne.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. Henry Dimsdale Manning in 1851.¹
