     Sir Walter Lovelace Clifford, 4th Bt. was born on 20 May 1853.¹ He was the son of Sir Charles Clifford, 1st Bt. and Mary Anne Hercy.² He married Catherine Bath, daughter of Edward Bath, on 14 November 1883.¹ He died on 26 May 1944 at age 91, without male issue.¹
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Clifford, of Flaxbourne, in the province of Marlborough, in the colony of New Zealand [U.K., 1887] on 13 September 1938.¹

     Edward Bath lived at Bryn-y-Mor, Glamorgan, Wales^G.¹

     Catherine Bath was the daughter of Edward Bath.² She married Sir Walter Lovelace Clifford, 4th Bt., son of Sir Charles Clifford, 1st Bt. and Mary Anne Hercy, on 14 November 1883.¹ She died on 24 May 1928.¹
     From 14 November 1883, her married name became Clifford.

     Catherine Mary Clifford was born on 24 May 1885.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Walter Lovelace Clifford, 4th Bt. and Catherine Bath.² She married, firstly, Roland Richards on 21 May 1907.¹ She married, secondly, William Herbert Wallis on 16 February 1924.¹ She died circa 1956, leaving issue.¹
     From 21 May 1907, her married name became Richards.¹ From 16 February 1924, her married name became Wallis.¹

     Roland Richards married Catherine Mary Clifford, daughter of Sir Walter Lovelace Clifford, 4th Bt. and Catherine Bath, on 21 May 1907.¹ He died on 7 December 1915, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹

     Bertha Mary Clifford was born on 6 August 1887.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Walter Lovelace Clifford, 4th Bt. and Catherine Bath.² She married Lt.-Cdr. Ian C. Shiriff Hilton, son of C. H. Shiriff Hilton, on 14 November 1912.¹ She died, leaving issue.¹
     From 14 November 1912, her married name became Shiriff Hilton.

     Lt.-Cdr. Ian C. Shiriff Hilton was the son of C. H. Shiriff Hilton.² He married Bertha Mary Clifford, daughter of Sir Walter Lovelace Clifford, 4th Bt. and Catherine Bath, on 14 November 1912.¹ He died on 27 June 1927.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.¹

     Mary Lucy Clifford was born in August 1908.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Walter Lovelace Clifford, 4th Bt. and Catherine Bath.² She married Alf Christoffer Brustad, son of Aska Brustad, on 23 September 1931.¹ She died in December 1933 at age 25.¹
     From 23 September 1931, her married name became Brustad.
