     He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Irish Guards.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹

     Rosemary Bridget Honor Stuart Law was born on 13 February 1930.¹ She is the daughter of Colonel Hugh Francis d’Assisi Stuart Law and Susan Rosemary Dacre Clerk.²

     Aymée Lavender Clerk was born on 18 June 1907.¹ She is the daughter of Sir George James Robert Clerk of Penicuik, 9th Bt. and Hon. Mabel Honor Dutton.² She married Colonel Alan Vincent Gandar Dower, son of Joseph William Gandar Dower, on 11 February 1928.¹
     Aymée Lavender Clerk usually went by her middle name of Lavender.¹ From 11 February 1928, her married name became Dower. She was a radionic therapist.¹ She was Chairman of the Institute for Complementary Medicine.¹ She lived in 2003 at Swinbrook Cottage, Swinbrook, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹

     Colonel Alan Vincent Gandar Dower was the son of Joseph William Gandar Dower.² He married Aymée Lavender Clerk, daughter of Sir George James Robert Clerk of Penicuik, 9th Bt. and Hon. Mabel Honor Dutton, on 11 February 1928.¹ He died in 1980.¹
     He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the 2nd Dragoon Guards.¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹
