     George Thomas Clerk was born in December 1846.¹ He was the son of John Clerk and Rose Alice Clothilde Greene.² He died on 4 February 1897 at age 50.¹

     John Frederick Clerk was born in May 1848.¹ He was the son of John Clerk and Rose Alice Clothilde Greene.² He married Eleanor Smith, daughter of Gustavus Smith, on 16 December 1884.¹ He died on 4 April 1931 at age 82.¹
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was a practising barrister.¹

     Eleanor Smith was the daughter of Gustavus Smith.¹ She married John Frederick Clerk, son of John Clerk and Rose Alice Clothilde Greene, on 16 December 1884.¹ She died on 29 May 1937.¹
     From 16 December 1884, her married name became Clerk.¹

     Aylmer Gustavus Clerk was born in 1888.¹ He was the son of John Frederick Clerk and Eleanor Smith.² He married Blanche Marchal, daughter of Emile Marchal, on 25 June 1938.¹ He and Blanche Marchal were divorced in 1952.¹ He died on 5 April 1968, without issue.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches three times.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the 1st Battalion, Hertfordshire Regiment, Territorial Army.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹

     Blanche Marchal is the daughter of Emile Marchal.² She married Aylmer Gustavus Clerk, son of John Frederick Clerk and Eleanor Smith, on 25 June 1938.¹ She and Aylmer Gustavus Clerk were divorced in 1952.¹
     From 25 June 1938, her married name became Clerk.¹

     Violet Clerk is the daughter of John Frederick Clerk and Eleanor Smith.² She married Francis Maurice Gustavus Du Plat Taylor on 13 February 1909.¹
     From 13 February 1909, her married name became Taylor.

     Francis Maurice Gustavus Du Plat Taylor married Violet Clerk, daughter of John Frederick Clerk and Eleanor Smith, on 13 February 1909.¹ He died on 22 May 1954.¹
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹

     Sybil Alice Clerk was born on 29 June 1892.¹ She was the daughter of John Frederick Clerk and Eleanor Smith.² She died on 27 December 1970 at age 78, unmarried.¹

     Nancy Eleanor Clerk is the daughter of John Frederick Clerk and Eleanor Smith.² She married Philip Giles Tennant in 1934.¹
     From 1934, her married name became Tennant.
