     Petronilla Clayton was born on 1 December 1903.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Edward Gilbert Clayton and Huberta Grenfell.² She married Richard Baden Whaley, son of Joseph Whaley, on 29 November 1940.¹ She died on 12 July 1984 at age 80.¹
     She wrote the book Dancing Desire, published circa 1925.¹ From 18 November 1940, her married name became Whaley. She wrote the book Yoga, published 1974.¹ She wrote the book Dorset Through History, published 1978.¹

     Joseph Whaley lived at Dean Hill Farm, Wiltshire, England^G.¹

     Richard Baden Whaley was the son of Joseph Whaley.² He married Petronilla Clayton, daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Edward Gilbert Clayton and Huberta Grenfell, on 29 November 1940.¹ He died on 14 September 1982.¹

     Dr. Richard Henry Grenfell Whaley was born on 18 November 1940.¹ He is the son of Richard Baden Whaley and Petronilla Clayton.²

     Blanche Petite Clayton was born on 9 January 1905.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Edward Gilbert Clayton and Huberta Grenfell.² She died in January 1964.¹
     She graduated from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹

     Grace Cynthia Maude Clayton was born on 22 February 1908.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Edward Gilbert Clayton and Huberta Grenfell.² She married Philip Hennell Amsden, son of Stanley Amsden, on 27 October 1934.¹
     From 27 October 1934, her married name became Amsden. She lived in 2003 at Headquarters Road, Courtenay, British Columbia, Canada^G.¹
