     Janet Marian Snodgrass was born on 4 June 1851 at Doogallook Station, Goulburn River, Victoria, Australia.² She was the daughter of Hon. Peter Snodgrass and Charlotte Agnes Cotton.^3,2 She married Sir William John Clarke, 1st Bt., son of Hon. William John Turner Clarke and Elizabeth Dowling, on 21 January 1873.¹ She died on 4 April 1909 at age 57.¹ She was also reported to have died on 28 April 1909 at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.²
     From 21 January 1873, her married name became Clarke.¹

     Hon. William Lionel Russell Clarke was born on 31 March 1876.¹ He was the son of Sir William John Clarke, 1st Bt. and Janet Marian Snodgrass.² He married Florence Douglas Mackenzie, daughter of Colonel Henry Douglas Mackenzie and Julia Nina Sofala Suttor, on 23 September 1908.¹ He died on 14 May 1954 at age 78.¹
     He was educated at Scotch College, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia^G.³ He was educated at Melbourne Grammar School, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia^G.³ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Field Artillery.¹ He held the office of Member of the Legislative Council (M.L.C.) [Victoria] in 1915.¹ He fought in the First World War between 1915 and 1919.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Victoria.¹

     Colonel Henry Douglas Mackenzie was born on 26 September 1849.² He was the son of Reverend Charles Mackenzie and Henrietta Simonds.² He married Julia Nina Sofala Suttor, daughter of Hon. John Bligh Suttor, on 7 January 1873.² He died on 24 October 1910 at age 61 at Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia.^2,3
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.¹ He was Colonel of the Tasmanian Commonwealth Military Forces.²

     Florence Douglas Mackenzie was the daughter of Colonel Henry Douglas Mackenzie and Julia Nina Sofala Suttor.² She married Hon. William Lionel Russell Clarke, son of Sir William John Clarke, 1st Bt. and Janet Marian Snodgrass, on 23 September 1908.¹ She died on 23 January 1961.¹
     From 23 September 1908, her married name became Clarke.¹

     John Russell Clarke was born on 15 December 1909.¹ He was the son of Hon. William Lionel Russell Clarke and Florence Douglas Mackenzie.² He married Alison Mary Milne, daughter of Clive Milne, on 12 April 1934.¹ He and Alison Mary Milne were divorced in 1940.¹ He died in 1963.¹
     He fought in the Second World War, with the Australian Imperial Forces.¹

     Clive Milne lived at Adelaide, South Australia, Australia^G.¹

     Alison Mary Milne is the daughter of Clive Milne.² She married John Russell Clarke, son of Hon. William Lionel Russell Clarke and Florence Douglas Mackenzie, on 12 April 1934.¹ She and John Russell Clarke were divorced in 1940.¹
     From 12 April 1934, her married name became Clarke.¹

     Timothy Ian Russell Clarke was born on 5 May 1935.¹ He was the son of John Russell Clarke and Alison Mary Milne.² He died in 1939.¹

     Michael Alastair Clarke was born on 28 September 1915.¹ He was the son of Hon. William Lionel Russell Clarke and Florence Douglas Mackenzie.² He married Helen Rosalind Lewis, daughter of Essington Lewis and Gladys Rosalind Cowan, in 1948.¹ He died on 11 August 2002 at age 86.³
