     Sir Rupert William John Clarke, 3rd Bt. was born on 5 November 1919.¹ He was the son of Sir Rupert Turner Havelock Clarke, 2nd Bt. and Elise Florence Tucker.² He married, firstly, Kathleen Grant Hay, daughter of Peter Grant Hay, on 21 January 1947.¹ He married, secondly, Gillian Ann MacLean Grant, daughter of Major John McLean Grant, on 2 May 2000.¹ He died on 4 February 2005 at age 85 at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia^G.³
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Clarke, of Rupertswood, Bourke County, Victoria, Australia [U.K., 1882] on 25 December 1926.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Captain and Honorary Major in 1942 in the Irish Guards.¹ He was Aide-de-Camp to Commander-in-Chief, Middle East between 1942 and 1943.¹ He was Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1943.¹ He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1945 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was chairman of Cadbury Schweppes (Australia) Ltd between 1955 and 1989.¹ He was chairman of United Distillers Company between 1960 and 1988.¹ He was chairman of Cadbury Schweppes between 1977 and 1985.¹ He was awarded the Officier, Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur in 1979.¹ He was chairman of P & O Australia Ltd between 1983 and 1996.¹ He was chairman of National Australia Bank between 1986 and 1992.¹ He was chairman of the Bank of the South Pacific between 1986 and 1992.¹ He was chairman of First National Ltd between 1986 and 1992.¹ He was awarded the Officer, Order of Leopold of Belgium in 1989.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Australian Institute of Management (F.A.I.M.)¹ He was awarded the Commandeur, Order of Grimaldi of Monaco in 1999.¹ He was awarded the Member, Order of Australia (A.M.) in 1999.¹ He lived in 2003 at Bolinda Vale, Clarkefield, Victoria, Australia^G.¹

     Peter Grant Hay lived at Egoline, Toorak, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia^G.¹

     Kathleen Grant Hay was the daughter of Peter Grant Hay.² She married Sir Rupert William John Clarke, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Rupert Turner Havelock Clarke, 2nd Bt. and Elise Florence Tucker, on 21 January 1947.¹ She died on 31 July 1999.¹
     From 21 January 1947, her married name became Clarke.

     Sir Rupert Grant Alexander Clarke, 4th Bt. was born on 12 December 1947.¹ He is the son of Sir Rupert William John Clarke, 3rd Bt. and Kathleen Grant Hay.² He married Susannah Law-Smith, daughter of Sir Richard Robert Law-Smith, in 1978.¹
     He graduated from Melbourne University, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia^G, with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Clarke, of Rupertswood, Bourke County, Victoria, Australia [U.K., 1882] on 4 February 2005.³

     Sir Richard Robert Law-Smith usually went by his middle name of Robert.¹

     Susannah Law-Smith is the daughter of Sir Richard Robert Law-Smith.² She married Sir Rupert Grant Alexander Clarke, 4th Bt., son of Sir Rupert William John Clarke, 3rd Bt. and Kathleen Grant Hay, in 1978.¹
     From 1978, her married name became Clarke.

     Rupert Robert William Clarke was born on 24 June 1981.¹ He is the son of Sir Rupert Grant Alexander Clarke, 4th Bt. and Susannah Law-Smith.²

     Samantha Kathleen Clarke was born on 15 January 1980.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Rupert Grant Alexander Clarke, 4th Bt. and Susannah Law-Smith.²

     Joanna Clarke was born on 22 October 1983.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Rupert Grant Alexander Clarke, 4th Bt. and Susannah Law-Smith.²

     Ernest William Grant Clarke was born on 4 November 1949.¹ He was the son of Sir Rupert William John Clarke, 3rd Bt. and Kathleen Grant Hay.² He died on 5 September 1961 at age 11, as result of an accident.¹
