William Amherst Villiers was born in 1903.1 He was the son of Rear-Admiral Edward Cecil Villiers and Anne Gordon Haynes-Smith.3 He married Joan Griffin, daughter of Basil Griffin, in 1942.1 He died in May 1984 at Winchester, Hampshire, England.2
He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)1 He fought in the Second World War, with the Royal Air Force.1
