Ambrosia Bayley1

     Ambrosia Bayley was the daughter of Reverend Charles Bayley.2 She married James Hewitt, 1st Viscount Lifford, son of William Hewitt and Hannah Lewis, on 15 December 1766 at St. Giles Fields, Holborn, London, EnglandG.1 She died on 26 March 1807.2
     From 15 December 1766, her married name became Hewitt.1 After her marriage, Ambrosia Bayley was styled as Baroness Lifford of Lifford on 9 January 1768. After her marriage, Ambrosia Bayley was styled as Viscountess Lifford on 8 January 1781.

William Hewitt1

     William Hewitt was born on 14 September 1683 at Rockcliffe, Cumberland, EnglandG.1 He was the son of James Hewitt and Mary Urwin.1 He married Hannah Lewis in 1710.1 He died on 22 November 1747 at age 64 at Coventry, Warwickshire, EnglandG.1
     He held the office of Mayor of Coventry in 1744.2 He was a mercer and draper.2
