     He gained the rank of Admiral of the White.¹

     James Baads is the son of Colonel John Douglas.²

     Reverend Alexander Douglas is the son of William Douglas of Baads and Joan of Park.² He married Isabel Houston, daughter of Andrew Houston, on 22 April 1726.¹
     He was the Minister in 1718 at Skirling, Scotland^G.¹ He was the Minister in 1725 at East Calder, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹

     Andrew Houston lived at Calder Hall, Scotland^G.¹

     Isabel Houston is the daughter of Andrew Houston.² She married Reverend Alexander Douglas, son of William Douglas of Baads and Joan of Park, on 22 April 1726.¹
     From 22 April 1726, her married name became Douglas.¹
