William Ireby1 
Agreat friend of King John, who made him Master of the Royal Hounds. On 25 March 1216, he was granted seisin of Nicholas de Stutevill’s land in the valley of Liddel, after Nicholas’s insurrection at Stamford and subsequent excommunication. In 1230 he is Sheriff of Westmorland.1
