     Sir Francis Charlton, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1651.¹ He was the son of Sir Job Charlton, 1st Bt. and Dorothy Blunden.¹ He married, firstly, Dorothy Bromwich before 1682.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Came, daughter of Joseph Came, on 13 March 1706/7 at St. Bride’s Church, London, England^G.¹ He died on 21 April 1729.¹
     He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn on 1 January 1661/62.¹ He matriculated at St. Edmund Hall, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 30 March 1666.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ludlow between 1679 and 1681.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bishop’s Castle between 1685 and 1687.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Charlton, of Ludford, co. Hereford [E., 1686] on 27 May 1697.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Shropshire from 1698 to 1699.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Herefordshire from 1708 to 1709.¹

     Dorothy Bromwich married Sir Francis Charlton, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Job Charlton, 1st Bt. and Dorothy Blunden, before 1682.¹
     From before 1682, her married name became Charlton.¹

     Mary Came was born circa 1681.¹ She was the daughter of Joseph Came.¹ She married Sir Francis Charlton, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Job Charlton, 1st Bt. and Dorothy Blunden, on 13 March 1706/7 at St. Bride’s Church, London, England^G.¹ She died before February 1742.¹ Her will was proven (by probate) in February 1742.¹
     From 13 March 1706/7, her married name became Charlton.¹

     Joseph Came lived at St. Mary’s, Aldermanbury, London, England^G.¹

     Sir Blunden Charlton, 3rd Bt. was born circa 1682.¹ He was the son of Sir Francis Charlton, 2nd Bt. and Dorothy Bromwich.¹ He married Mary Foley, daughter of Thomas Foley and Elizabeth Ashe.¹ He died in December 1742.¹
     He matriculated at St. Edmund Hall, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 28 March 1698.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Charlton, of Ludford, co. Hereford [E., 1686] on 21 April 1729.¹

     Mary Foley is the daughter of Thomas Foley and Elizabeth Ashe.¹ She married Sir Blunden Charlton, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Francis Charlton, 2nd Bt. and Dorothy Bromwich.¹
     Her married name became Charlton.¹

     Sir Francis Charlton, 4th Bt. was born circa 1707 at Burford, Shropshire, England^G.¹ He was the son of Sir Blunden Charlton, 3rd Bt. and Mary Foley.¹ He died on 3 December 1784, unmarried.¹ His will was proven (by probate) in December 1784.¹
     He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 6 July 1721.¹ He was a Gentleman of the Privy Camber and Treasurer of the General Post Office.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Charlton, of Ludford, co. Hereford [E., 1686] in December 1742.¹
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.¹
