Robert Jocelyn, 1st Earl of Roden1
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Old Leighlin [Ireland] between 1743 and 1756.2 He held the office of Auditor-General [Ireland] between 1750 and 1797.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Jocelyn [I., 1755] on 3 December 1756.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Newport of Newport, co. Tipperary [I., 1743] on 3 December 1756.2 He was created 1st Earl of Roden, of High Roding, co. Tipperary [Ireland] on 1 December 1771.2 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Jocelyn, of Hyde Hall, co. Herts [E., 1665] on 24 May 1778.2
