     He fought in the Crimean War.1 He gained the rank of officer in the 77th Regiment of Foot.1

     Johanna Burley was the daughter of Sir William Burley and Alice Grey.1,2 She married, firstly, Sir Philip Chetwynd, son of Richard Chetwynd and Thomasina Frodsham, in 1442.1 She married, secondly, Sir Thomas Lyttelton, son of Thomas Westcote and Elizabeth de Luttleton, after 1444.3 She died on 22 March 1505.3
     She was also known as Joan Burley.3 From 1442, her married name became Chetwynd. From after 1444, her married name became Lyttelton.3
