     Sir Charles Edward Heley Chadwyck-Healey, 1st Bt. was born on 26 August 1845.1 He was the son of Edward Charles Healey.2 He married, firstly, Rosa Close, daughter of John Close, on 6 February 1872.1 He married, secondly, Frances Katharine Wait, daughter of William Killigrew Wait, on 17 May 1884.1 He died on 5 October 1919 at age 74.1
     He was given the name of Charles Edward Heley Chadwyck Healey at birth.1 He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.)1 He held the office of Bencher of Lincoln’s Inn.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Surrey.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He was appointed King’s Counsel (K.C.)1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Somerset in 1911.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Captain in the Royal Naval Reserves.1 He was created 1st Baronet Chadwyck-Healey, of Wyphurst, Cranleigh, Surrey [U.K.] on 6 May 1919.1
