     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Signals (Territorial Army.)¹ He was awarded the Polar Medal between 1945 and 1948 for service in Antarctic.¹ He was Leader of the Falkland Island Dependencies Survey between 1947 and 1948.¹ He was Secretary of the Falkland Island Dependencies Survey between 1948 and 1950.¹ He was Admin Officer of South Georgia.¹
He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Falkland Islands Defence Force.¹ He was manager of the Whaling Department, Compañia Argentina de Pesca between 1954 and 1958 at Buenos Aires, Argentina^G.¹

     Janet Cooper Gimour is the daughter of James Gilmour.² She married, secondly, Kenelm Somerset Priaulx Butler, son of Reverend Pierce Rollo Butler and Ethel Florence Symes, on 14 August 1954.¹
     Her married name became Horne.¹ From 14 August 1954, her married name became Butler.

     Patricia Florence Pierce Butler was born on 13 November 1911.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend Pierce Rollo Butler and Ethel Florence Symes.² She died on 27 November 1931 at age 20.¹

     Hubert Blennerhassett Butler was born on 12 August 1887.¹ He was the son of Reverend Pierce Armar Butler and Emily Russwürm.² He married Sophie Marie Castravelli, daughter of Jules Castravelli, on 4 October 1919.¹ He died on 9 November 1986 at age 99 at Walmer, Kent, England.^1,3
     He fought in the First World War, in France and Palestine.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Dorset Regiment.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Engineers.¹ He fought in the Second World War, in Egypt.¹

     Jules Castravelli lived at Bacos, Alexandria, Egypt^G.¹

     Sophie Marie Castravelli was the daughter of Jules Castravelli.² She married Hubert Blennerhassett Butler, son of Reverend Pierce Armar Butler and Emily Russwürm, on 4 October 1919.¹ She died in 1985.¹
     From 4 October 1919, her married name became Butler.

     Marjorye Marie Butler was born on 4 March 1921.¹ She was the daughter of Hubert Blennerhassett Butler and Sophie Marie Castravelli.² She married Major Peter Quentin Logan, son of Dr. Roderic Walter Logan and Frances Ethel Chamberlain, on 30 March 1944.¹ She died in 1995.¹
     From 30 March 1944, her married name became Logan.

     Dr. Roderic Walter Logan was born circa 1865 at Jamaica^G.² He married Frances Ethel Chamberlain, daughter of George Kennaway Chamberlain and Mary Louisa Dawson, on 6 June 1900 at Solihull, Warwickshire, England^G.² He died before 1 April 1944.²
     He lived at Ashby De La Zouch, Leicestershire, England^G.¹
