Alexander Dunbar of Grange was the son of Thomas Dunbar and Grisell Crichton.2 He married, firstly, Jean Campbell, daughter of unknown Campbell, on 11 March 1624.2 He married, secondly, Jean Cockburn, daughter of Sir William Cockburn of Langton, 1st Bt. and Helen Elphinstone, in January 1632.2 He died before March 1642.3
