Sir Alexander Campbell of Barcaldine, 2nd Bt.1 
He was commander of the Lochaber Axe Men of the Royal Breadalbane Highlanders in 1842 when HM Qqueen Victoria visited Taymouth.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Campbell, of Barcaldine, co. Argyll [U.K., 1831] on 2 April 1842.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Argyll and Bute Militia.1 He held the office of Serjeant-at-Arms of the Royal Household.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1

Sir Duncan Alexander Dundas Campbell of Barcaldine, 3rd Bt.1 
He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Campbell, of Barcaldine, co. Argyll [U.K., 1831] on 11 December 1880.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1881 in the 3rd Battalion, Black Watch.1 He held the office of Gentlemen Usher of the Green Rod between 1884 and 1895.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)1 He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries of Scotland (F.S.A. Scot.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He was Commissioner of Supply.1 He retired from the military in 1893, with the rank of Honorary Major, late of the 3rd and 4th Battalion Highland Light Infantry.1 In 1896 he bought the Castle and Barony of Barcaldine (sold out of the family in 1842.)1 He was awarded the Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 1897.1 He held the office of Carrick Pursuivant.1 He was admitted to Member, Royal Company of Archers.1 He held the office of Secretary of the Order of the Thistle.1
He wrote the book The Clan Campbell, 8 volumes.1 He held the office of Keeper of Barcaldine Castle, and Superior of Auchachrossan, Argyllshire, of Rannaguezion, Corb and Drumturn, Galray and Wester Denhead, Hillock and Tullifergus, Perthshire.1 He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.)1 He wrote the book Records of Clan Campbell in the Military Service of the Honourable East India Company from 1600-1858.1 He wrote the book Officers of the Clan Campbell in Army and Royal Marines from 1660–1924, (22 volumes MSS.)1 He was awarded the Coronation Silver Medal in 1902.1 He was awarded the Coronation Silver Medal in 1911.1
