     George Frederic Colin Campbell was born on 2 June 1858.¹ He was the son of Alexander Le Grand Campbell and Hester Anne Copeman.² He married Amabel Caroline Pike, daughter of Bayly Pike, in 1896.¹ He died on 3 March 1937 at age 78.¹
     He was awarded the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Officers’ Decoration (V.D.)¹ He was Honorary Aide-de-Camp to the Governor-General of New Zealand between 1912 and 1920.¹ He held the office of Secretary of the Treasury [New Zealand] between 1913 and 1920.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the N.Z. Forces, commanding Coast Defences, Wellington.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1919.¹ He held the office of Controller and Auditor General [New Zealand] in 1921.¹

     Bayly Pike lived at Elephant Hill Station, Waimate, New Zealand.¹

     Alan Le Grand Campbell was born on 3 December 1896.¹ He was the son of George Frederic Colin Campbell and Amabel Caroline Pike.² He married Barbara Alison Marchbanks, daughter of James Marchbanks, in 1928.¹ He died in 1960.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in 1919 in the Highland Light Infantry and Royal Air Force.¹
