Sir Josiah William Hort, 2nd Bt.1 
Sir Josiah William Hort, 2nd Bt. usually went by his middle name of William. He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Hort, of Castle Strange, co. Middlesex [G.B., 1767] on 23 October 1807.2 He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Kildare in 1818.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Kildare between 1831 and 1832.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)2
