     Sir John Cameron, Lord Cameron was born on 8 February 1900 at London, England.2 He was the son of John Cameron and Wilhelmina Louisa Wilson.2 He married, firstly, Eileen Dorothea Burrell on 21 July 1927 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1,2 He married, secondly, Iris Henry in 1944.3 He died on 30 May 1996 at age 96 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2
     He graduated with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.)1 He held the office of Lord of Session [Scotland].4 He was styled as Lord Cameron [Scottish Law Lord].4 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.) in 1944.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Inverness, Elgin and Nairn in 1945.3 He held the office of Sheriff of Inverness, Moray, Nairn and Ross between 1946 and 1948.3 He was appointed Knight in 1954.3 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Thistle (K.T.) in 1978.1
