     Hon. John Sinclair was born on 4 July 1808.¹ He was the son of James Sinclair of Mey, 12th Earl of Caithness and Jean Campbell.² He married Maria Petronella Church, daughter of John Church, on 22 October 1833.¹ He died on 8 January 1861 at age 52.¹
     He was an Army Officer.¹

     Maria Petronella Church was the daughter of John Church.² She married Hon. John Sinclair, son of James Sinclair of Mey, 12th Earl of Caithness and Jean Campbell, on 22 October 1833.¹ She died on 26 February 1878.¹
     From 22 October 1833, her married name became Sinclair.

     William Sinclair is the son of Sir James Sinclair of Mey, 5th Bt. and Margaret Sinclair.² He married Elizabeth Sinclair, daughter of Richard Sinclair.¹

     Richard Sinclair was the son of Alexander Sinclair of Dun.²

     Elizabeth Sinclair was the daughter of Richard Sinclair.² She married William Sinclair, son of Sir James Sinclair of Mey, 5th Bt. and Margaret Sinclair.¹
     Her married name became Sinclair.

     Captain John Sinclair was the son of William Sinclair and Elizabeth Sinclair.² He died on 18 June 1815, killed in action, unmarried.²
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 79th Foot.¹ He fought in the Battle of Waterloo on 18 June 1815.¹

     Williamina Sinclair was the daughter of William Sinclair and Elizabeth Sinclair.² She died, unmarried.¹

     George Sinclair was born on 2 August 1653.¹ He was the son of Sir William Sinclair of Mey, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Mackenzie.² He married Margaret Moncrieff.¹
     He gained the rank of officer in the Army.¹

     Margaret Moncrieff married George Sinclair, son of Sir William Sinclair of Mey, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Mackenzie.¹
     Her married name became Sinclair.
