     Lady Katharine Olive Cairns was born on 14 March 1912.¹ She was the daughter of Wilfred Dallas Cairns, 4th Earl Cairns and Olive Cobbold.² She died on 18 March 1955 at age 43, unmarried.¹
     She graduated from St. Hilda’s College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ She gained the rank of Senior Commander in the Auxiliary Territorial Service.¹

     Robert Bruce Lockhart was born on 12 February 1858 at Montreal, Quebec, Canada.² He was the son of Robert Arthur Lockhart and Annabella Wilson.² He married Florence Stewart Macgregor on 6 August 1886 at Seafield Memorial Church, Grantown on Spey, Scotland.² He died in 1949 at 82 Inverness Terrace, Paddington, London, England.²
     He lived at Eagle House, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.³

     Sir Robert Hamilton Bruce Lockhart was born on 2 September 1887 at Anstruther, Fife, Scotland^G.² He was the son of Robert Bruce Lockhart and Florence Stewart Macgregor.^1,3 He married, firstly, Jean Haslewood Turner, daughter of Leonard Turner, in 1913.¹ He and Jean Haslewood Turner were divorced in 1938.¹ He married, secondly, Frances Mary Beck, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Edward Archibald Beck, in 1948.³ He died on 27 February 1970 at age 82 at Hove, Sussex, England^G.^1,2
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1943.¹ He was an author, broadcaster, journalist and diplomat.¹ He wrote the book Memoirs of a British Agent.¹

     Jean Haslewood Turner is the daughter of Leonard Turner.¹ She married Sir Robert Hamilton Bruce Lockhart, son of Robert Bruce Lockhart and Florence Stewart Macgregor, in 1913.¹ She and Sir Robert Hamilton Bruce Lockhart were divorced in 1938.¹
     From 1913, her married name became Bruce Lockhart.¹

     Hon. Hugh Andrew David Cairns was born on 27 August 1942.¹ He is the son of Rear-Admiral David Charles Cairns, 5th Earl Cairns and Barbara Jeanne Harrisson Burgess.² He married Elizabeth Bell, daughter of Lt.-Col. Francis Cecil Leonard Bell and Mary Wynne Jacob, on 22 October 1966.¹
     Hon. Hugh Andrew David Cairns usually went by his middle name of Andrew.¹ He was educated at Wellington College, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at Knowle Hill Farm, Ulcombe, Maidstone, Kent, England^G.¹

     Lt.-Col. Francis Cecil Leonard Bell was born on 25 September 1912 at Bourne, Lincolnshire, England.² He married, firstly, Mary Wynne Jacob, daughter of Lt.-Col. Arthur Lawrence Baldwin Jacob, in 1942.² He married, secondly, Priscilla Muir in 1999.² He died on 20 December 2012 at age 100.²

     From 22 October 1966, her married name became Cairns.

     Bertram Wilfrid Arthur Cairns was born on 28 January 1972.¹ He is the son of Hon. Hugh Andrew David Cairns and Elizabeth Bell.²
